The Division creates and distributes various educational materials for the larger public community to learn about the protection, conservation, and management of wildlife resources in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Stop by either of our offices for free posters, brochures, and activity books catered to multiple age groups.
The Division also hosts/participates in wildlife events such as the Caribbean Bird Census and Exotic Pet Amnesty Week and Bio Blitz’s with DPNR’s “Science Saturday’s”. DFW wildlife biologists also visit with community and school groups to present on various wildlife related topics such as sea turtle nesting and mangroves.

Join scientists from the Division of Fish and Wildlife on the inaturalist app! Inaturalist is a free, downloadable app for your mobile device that allows you to identify and document species of wildlife, plants, and fish that you see every day. Your entries may be considered “research grade” where they then populate a publicly available database of species inventory for the Territory. The Division encourages the use of inaturalist and public participation in this citizen science!
